Our dad’s big brown eyes closed for the last time on Friday, April 29, 2011 peacefully passing with his parents by his side.
A quiet day in Tremonton was erupted as shouts up to a second floor hospital window on September 27, 1962 could be heard throughout the small town. His father Ronald Kay became a dad and wanted him to see the fishing pole and gear he had bought for him. As his mother Mable Christensen Kay held him in her arms and giggled from the window above.
Bruce graduated from Bear River High School. He later earned an Associate Degree from Weber University. He married Laurie Jean Andra from whom he was later divorced, but with whom he remained good friends. Together they had two daughters, Shannon and Annie, the pride and joy of his life. He found great happiness spending time with and supporting them in their various activities. Their favorite vacationing spots were Capital Reef National Park and Bear Lake.
Other than his favorite sister, Jenifer Kay (Darrin) Scoffield he had many neighbors he called family. Bruce was the first one to call if you wanted to go hiking, camping, traveling, or just wanted to throw a backyard barbecue. He was always the happiest in the middle of the party and making sure everyone was taken care of.
Working hard and playing hard was just the right balance for Bruce. His gift of logic and analysis was appreciated at Autoliv in Tremonton where he worked for the last 19 years. We understand he was the “go to” guy to fix machines for work and other related and maybe non related problems. Bruce’s Autoliv family was very important to him and they had such a positive impact on him.
We love you Dad and you will always be in our hearts as we will remember you and our memories together forever.
