Bruce Edward Allen

Logan, Utah: Bruce Edward Allen, 68, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Logan Regional Hospital of complications due to heart failure.
He was born on December 24, 1939 in Logan, Utah, a son of Grover E. And Frances Harris Allen. He graduated from North Cache High School. He served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York State. He had never married.
He had recently retired after 38 years as an employee in the housekeeping department for IHC.
He was a member of the Northern Choral Society, a member of the Temple Fork Chapter of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers, a member of the Mormon Battalion, and he loved to travel.
He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Joseph (Mary Lou) Allen of North Ogden; Edris A. Mickelsen of Redmond, Utah; Leora A Giles of Provo, Utah; Gilbert H. (Adria) Allen of Lethbridge, Canada’ James R. (Fay) Allen of Providence, Utah; Nadean A. (Alton) Buttars of Preston, Idaho; Ruth A. Robertson of Providence, Utah and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, CarolLee Allen of Fairview, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Harris G. Allen.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2008 in the Richmond Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
