North Logan, Utah: Byron Burton Kropf, 86, died on Monday, March 24, 2008 at his home. Born November 8, 1921, Cleveland, Idaho to Frank and Ethel Burton Kropf. He married Beth Nelson on September 10, 1946 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He attended Utah State University and was employed with the BLM. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the 8th Army Air Corps.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, North Logan 5th Ward.
He is survived by his children, two sons and two daughters, Pam Dabbs, Tremonton, Utah; Bryon Duane Kropf, (Rosie) Hyrum, Utah; Steven Nelson Kropf (Diane), Wellsville, Utah; Denise Berntson, North Logan, Utah; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren with one on the way; two sisters, Delma Westover, Quincy, Washington and Rea Austin (Joe), Mapleton, Utah.
Preceded in death by his wife, Beth; parents; Doris Smout, sister; Trevor Gonzales, great grandson; Mahala Foster, great great granddaughter and Casey Foster, great great grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. at the North Logan 5th Ward Chapel, 2750 North 800 East. Friends may call at the Allen Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Church on Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Cleveland, Idaho Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
