Providence - Carolyn Malinda Perry, 45, left her earthly home and loved ones to return to her Heavenly Father and Mother on March 14, 2014.
Born Jan 3, 1969 in Culver City, CA to Adrianus (Ed) and Carolyn van Dam. She moved to Utah in 1972 and graduated from Mountain Crest High School in 1988. She later obtained her CNA and cared for many people at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Despite the many trials in Malinda’s life she persevered with a smile and always had a positive outlook. Beginning at 18 months old with both legs in casts, she learned to walk. Malinda mastered the art of calligraphy and had beautiful penmanship. After surviving an accident which left her paralyzed she found one of her greatest joys, her soul mate, Dennis Perry. They married for time and all eternity April 18, 1997 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Malinda loved serving others and had a passion for life, her family, and her cat Gracie. She was a beloved primary teacher in her LDS ward in Providence, UT. She also loved to visit the other residents of Providence Place where she resided.
Malinda is survived by her daughter: Marijka Anderson; Parents: Adrianus (Ed) and Carolyn van Dam; Siblings: Janus (Jen); Suzie (Mike); Chris (Jennie); James (Erika); Lydia; Mike (Wendy); Serena; Jennifer (Jed). Preceded in death by her husband: Dennis Perry.
Malinda and family would like to extend a very special thanks to all the many friends, family, care givers and emergency personnel who cared for, served and loved Malinda over the past 20 years. A special thanks to the Jerry & Sonja Bair family for the many years of selfless service, love and devotion.
In honor of Malinda a viewing will be held Tuesday March 18, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, UT. Funeral Services will be held at the LDS Cobblestone 1st Ward, 420 W 100 N, Providence, UT on Wednesday, March 19 at 12 pm with a viewing beforehand from 10:30 am – 11:30 am.
