On March 26, 2025, our beloved Mother, Caren Laub passed away in the comfort of her own home, with the presence of her family by her side.

Born Caren Lee Christensen in Logan, UT on April 14, 1948, to Jack E. and Joyce (DeWitt) Christensen, Caren lived a life of dedication to her Family and Faith.

Caren attended Logan High School and graduated in 1966 before continuing her studies at Utah State University where she joined the Chi Omega Sorority, then onto Weber State University where she obtained licensure as a Registered Nurse. Her proud professional career as a nurse lasted 40 years.

Caren is lovingly remembered by her children: Jeff (Karen), Ryan (Hallie), Alex, and Derek (Shayla). She was also a cherished Grandma to Ainsley, Owen, Avery, Jayde, Tyson, Deacon, and Charlestan. Caren is also survived by brothers John (Lisa) Christensen of Newton, Trevor (Debbie) Christensen of Brigham City, and DC of St. George. Caren was preceded in death by her parents Jack E. Christensen (Salt Lake City) and Helen Joyce (DeWitt) Christensen, (Logan) and Tom Patnode of Yakima, WA who was her life partner and husband from 1991 until his death in 2008. Caren leaves behind many other friends, and family in Logan and the Seattle area where she lived from June 1986 until her death.

A memorial Service will be held at Allen - Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center St in Logan Friday, May 2, beginning at 11 a.m.
