Carol Lou Moser Jensen Hansen, 87, passed away September 24, 2019 at Maple Springs in North Logan, UT. Carol was born in Auburn Wyoming to Charles and Priscilla Porter Moser on June 9, 1932. She was 11th in a family of 15. Carol attended grade school in Auburn and graduated from Star Valley High in Afton, Wyoming.
On October 5, 1950 she married Hal F. Jensen in the Logan Temple. Hal and Carol lived in Bedford Wyoming for about 1½ years and then moved to Sacramento, California where Hal was employed with Lawson Mechanical Contractors.
Their first child, Brent was born while living in downtown Sacramento and four years later living in North Sacramento Cherie was born. Two years later Tamie came into their family.
In September 1966, Hal lost his life in a boating accident. This prompted Carol to move her family in June of 1969 to Logan, UT to live closer to her parents and some of her siblings.
After moving to Logan, Carol worked hard to support her children. She was employed at Logan Savings and Loan for 15 years, first as a teller and later as a loan originator.
In 1985, Carol married Reed Hansen in the Ogden Temple. They were able to spend 22 years together living in Brigham City, UT and brought much happiness into each other’s lives until Reed passed away on August 2, 2007. Later that same year Carol moved to Cobblestone in Providence, UT where she lived until December 2018. She moved into Maple Springs in April of 2018.
A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints, Carol served in many callings, her favorite being those that pertained to music. She loved being the primary chorister and teaching children music. She loved telling stories and verses to any who would listen. While living at Maple Springs she made many friends; everyone who greeted her told her how pretty her hair was and that she had the most beautiful eyes.
Carol cared deeply about her family and friends and she left a legacy of love, always trying to share her good fortunes with those in need. She instilled the importance of work and serving others into her children and grandchildren’s lives.
We are deeply grateful for all those who loved and cared for our mother at Maple Springs and the caregivers from Sunshine Home Health and Hospice.
She is survived by her children, Brent (Jil) Jensen; Cherie (David) Adams; Tamie (Michael) Taylor; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Alma (Kay) Moser; Hermoine (Jim) Erickson; Kathy (Val) King; Gloria Moser (sister in law).
