Carol Roberts passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on June 28, 2018. She was born in Richfield, Utah to William and Mildred Horne.
Her husband Richard D. Roberts and her three children survive her: David (Annette) Roberts, Cindy (Mont) Wright, and Larry (Dan) Roberts. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
After graduating from Richfield High School, she began working as a telephone operator. After working as a telephone operator, supervisor and service representative for Mountain Bell, she retired with 25 years of service. A few years later, she began a new adventure working with children as a PE specialist at Lincoln Elementary in Hyrum, Utah for ten years. Her number one priority in PE was sportsmanship. Carol instilled in students the importance of being physically fit and encouraged them to prepare for and enjoy the Wellsville Mile.
Carol loved sports! She was a loyal Aggie fan. She loved traveling and going to games, and serving on the USU Alumni Association.
She loved her family and spending time with them. Her favorite time of the year was having all the kids and grandchildren home for Christmas and sleeping on the floor waiting for Santa Claus to come. She loved to travel with Richard in their Motorhome. They would travel cross country making friends wherever they went. She also loved to play cards with the ladies, eating food, winning prizes and talking about their husbands.
Carol was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a variety of positions. She served an LDS mission with her husband in Burma (Myanmar) as ambassadors of the Church. They were able to organize an international school K-8 and taught patrons to speak English.
A beloved wife, caring mother and fun grandma, Carol leaves us with wonderful memories that will be cherished forever.
