Carole Joyce Murphy Lisonbee was born February 10, 1929 and died May 31, 2023. .
She was daughter of Jesse and Mary Murphy, the youngest of eight children and the last surviving member of her original family. She was an athletic child and teen who did well in school. She lived in Logan Utah her entire life and was a graduate of Utah State University.
She married Clyde R. Lisonbee in 1952 and they had four children, Jan, David, Larry, and Sher. While their children were growing up, Clyde and Carole owned and operated a dairy farm, Templ Vue Dairy. The farm was on 10 acres at 10th N. and 5th W. in Logan.
Carole was committed to providing her children opportunities that she never had which included dance lessons, music lessons, trips, and exposure to other cultural experiences. Education was a high value for her. She was a creative cook and an excellent seamstress who sewed many of her daughters’ clothes.
After Clyde died in 1997, Carole lived independently in the family home. She sold some of the acreage, but, until recently, continued to take care of an acre. Over the years the property changed from pasture land to beautiful lawns and gardens. Carole was a cat lover who pampered her indoor cats and frequently adopted feral cats.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Lisonbee; her son, David, his husband, Tiran Davidi-Durian, and their daughter, Mia; her son, Larry, and his sons and their wives, Kole Lisonbee, Laura Taft, Travis and Sara Lisonbee; and her daughter, Sher Lisonbee, and her husband, Dick Broun.
