Carolyn Cornia Lemon, 71, of Newton, died on Friday, March 25, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah of causes incident to age.
She was born on November 12, 1944 in Logan a daughter of Paul C. and Carol Hodges. Carolyn was educated in Rich County Schools and graduated from North Rich High School. She attended Utah State University on a scholarship. She married Robert Paul Lemon on October 26, 1963 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 10 1/2 years and the USDA for 24 years. She retired from the government in July 2000 and worked several civilian jobs for several more years. Her hobbies include, making beautiful jewelry, camping, fishing, back road riding, but especially motorcycles. She and her husband toured the western United States with their friends of the GWRRA and by themselves. They rode to Canada, to the Mexican border, top of Pike’s Peak and Mt. Evans in Colorado.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Paul, two children, Stacy Everhart, Trenton, UT; Michelle and Bruce Lowry, Chubbock, Idaho, five grandchildren, Amanda, Kayla, Alex, Heidi and Alicia and five great grandchildren, a brother, Ed Cornia. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Richard and a grandson, Tyson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the Newton Ward Chapel. There will be a viewing on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 - 10:30 am.
