Cathleen L. Parkinson

Cathleen Louise Parkinson, 41, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Logan Regional Hospital. Cathy was born in Modesto, California and raised in Weaverville, California where she was a cheerleader, mascot and valedictorian. She is the daughter of Stella Minard. In 1998 she moved to Cache Valley (Utah) with her two beautiful children, Garrett and Amanda, for a fresh start. In 2002 Cathy met her best friend, soulmate and partner for life, Derek Grant Parkinson, Cathy was considered a second mother to many youth in Cache Valley. She was very well known and loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two children, Garret and Amanda and her wonderful husband, Derek. She also has two sisters, Cindy and Crystal who currently reside in California. She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Minard and her grandmother, Daisy Hill.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Hyrum 10th Ward Chapel, 111 North 400 West. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary and prior to services at the church from 10-11:30 AM. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
