Charles Edwin Price, age 92, of Hyde Park, Utah, passed away, Sunday, 7 Jun 2009
He was born 23 Oct 1916 in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Edwin M. and Sarah A. Davison Price. He had made his home in Hyde Park since 1968. He married Delphia M. Martin, 25 Jun 1938, in Eufaula, McIntosh County, Oklahoma. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Arizona Temple in 1952. They were married 64 years before her death in 2002.
He lived in Texas, Oklahoma and Idaho before moving to Utah. He worked in the construction business most his life. He enjoyed reading and visiting with family and friends.
He was a member of the LDS Hyde Park 9th Ward. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all his life and served in several positions in a branch presidency, Sunday School, MIA, priesthood quorums, Adult Aaronic Priesthood program, executive ward secretary and a security guard at the Logan LDS Temple.
Charles is survived by his 5 children: Homer (Emerald) Owens; Charles (Carol Ann) Price; Shirley (Charles) Nance; Wayne (Fran) Price; Harold (Marcelline) Price. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter-in-law, Helen Brady Owens.
Graveside Services will be held, Thursday, 11 Jun 2009, 3:00 PM, at the Hyde Park City Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, 10 Jun 2009, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM, at Allen Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North, in North Logan, Utah, 84341. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary, Logan. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make a contribution to the Missionary Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
