Upon graduation Charles fell in love with his sweetheart Sharlene Smith. They were married February 26, 1954 in the Logan LDS Temple for time and eternity. His diligence, integrity and care, were always evident.
Of all his many endeavors, none rivaled the love he had for his family. His three children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren were truly the light of his life. He is adored, respected, and loved beyond measure by his family. His kind, wise counsel was often sought. His sense of humor served to brighten all of our days. With his cherished and beloved wife Sharlene at his side, he experienced the triumphs, and trials of life.
Charles was an active member of the Church and held many callings. His unwavering devotion to the gospel will continue to have a profound effect upon his family. Throughout the final years of his life Charles courageously battled chronic illness, while refusing to give up, he truly exemplified the words of the apostle Paul, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
