Charles P. Wahlquist

HYRUM - Charles P. Wahlquist lost his long battle with cancer on July 15, 2008 at the age of 81.
Born September 11, 1926 in Ioka, Utah to Fred and Loreen Pack Wahlquist. Married his sweetheart Colleene Robison on February 2, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from Alterra High School in 1944. He served in the US Navy (1944-1946) aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Lexington during World War II. After the war he served an LDS Mission to the Northern States (1947-1949). From 1995-1996, he served a mission to the Dallas, Texas Mission with his sweetheart, Colleene.
Survived by his sweetheart Colleene, brother: Brian (Carolina), Wayne (Elsie), Glen (Barbara), Earl (Norma) and Brent (Diana) Wahlquist, daughters:
Peggy (Larry) Stout, Terrilyn (Donald) Stratton, and Loreen (James) Taylor, sons: Clayton (Kaylene), Robert (Michelle), and Lee (Denise) Wahlquist and 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 19,2008 at 11:00 AM in the Toquerville, Utah LDS Chapel,63 North Toquerville Blvd. A viewing will be held at the church from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday evening, July 18, and from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday prior to funeral services. Burial will be following the Funeral services at the Toquerville Cemetery. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
