Charlotte Hetes

Hyrum, Utah: After struggling with ill health for many years, a sweet lady, Charlotte Ann Jones Hetes, 62, passed away on March 15th 2013 in Murray, Utah.

She was born August 30th 1950 In Pasco, Washington to Mazie Ann Rakes Jones and Marvin Lee Jones. Charlotte was a voracious reader and loved to tell stories. She was once a member of the Story telling Guild of Cache Valley. She especially loved to read to the children and read to her brothers at a young age. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born in Pasco, Washington, but raised all over the country. Her father was a pipefitter and they lived in a trailer and followed jobs until she was 12, when they settled down in Blackfoot, Idaho where she graduated from High School.

She attended LDS Business College and studied Accounting. She worked at the International Nuclear Engineering Lab near Atomic City in Accounting for over 10 years and they sent her to 3 mile island in Pennsylvania to do accounting where she was made the administrator of accounting. While there she met and married her husband Mark in the Washington DC temple on June 5th 1982. They moved to Rexburg, Idaho and then moved to Logan, Utah where Mark could go to college and get his degree. Charlotte worked at Utah State University for 7 years, first in the graduate office under the dean and then helped to create their accounting system. They moved to Hyrum, Utah in 1996.

Charlotte had many interests. She loved to read. Children were her priority. She loved needlepoint, Quilting, cooking and paper crafting. She was a room grandma for special needs children at many of the valleys schools. She was a very loving and compassionate person always making sure others needs were met before her own. The children came first. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a young teenager. She had callings in almost all positions. While in Pennsylvania she was the Stake Young Women's president. Nursery and Primary were her favorite. She has done over 68,300 names for genealogy extractions.

Charlotte and Mark are the parents of two daughters, Meghan Ann Hetes(Aaron)Jones of Hyrum, Utah and Sarah Ann Hetes of Hyrum, Utah. They were blessed with one adorable granddaughter who they love and dote on, Keylee Ann Hetes. She is survived by her husband Mark Hetes, Children and granddaughter and two brothers Donald Jones of Blackfoot, Idaho and Robert Jones of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents Mazie Ann Rakes Jones and Marvin Lee Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22nd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hyrum 12th Ward chapel, 176 S. 1300 E. Hyrum, Utah. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
