Christina C. Petersen

October 18, 1953 — January 14, 2014

Christina C. Petersen died of injuries suffered in an auto accident on January 14, 2014.

She was born October 18, 1953 in the Logan hospital. She is the daughter of Grant P Parkinson and Millicent Carlsen Parkinson. She grew up in Wellsville, Utah and attended school there and graduated from Sky View High. She married John Petersen in the Logan Utah LDS Temple December 13, 1973. Their marriage is blessed with three sons.

Chris has a strong testimony at of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and it showed in how kindly she treated her family, friends and those around her. She loves her Savior, her husband, her boys and their companions, her six grandchildren, her many dear friends in each place she lived, her Sandie (a yellow lab who was waiting for her at heaven’s gate), trips to the Oregon coast and its lighthouses, Alan Jackson and almost any kind of music.

Chris’ house was where her boy’s and their friends could come and be accepted as they were without judgment. She loved and cared for them all. She was a great listener. She always put others before herself, regardless of the situation, ensuring her love, compassion and concern were felt by those around her.

Chris is survived by her husband John Petersen, Hyrum; sons: Jeramy (Kelsey) Petersen; Kaysville, Utah; Tim (Bobbie Ann) Petersen; Perry, Utah; Mike (Abbey Meany) Petersen; Logan, Utah; mother Millicent Parkinson; Wellsville, Utah; brothers: Grant(Rosemary) Parkinson; Wellsville, Utah: Stephen (Gay) Parkinson; Sunset, Utah: Tim(Chris) Parkinson; Wellsville, Utah.
