Cindy Johnson Selley, of Nibley, Utah & Sebring, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 21, 2024. Born on September 10, 1953 in Logan, Utah to Jarvis Thomas Johnson and LuDean Allen Johnson. She was a 1971 graduate of Logan High School. She grew up working in the kitchen at her father’s Del Mar Club and Restaurant where she learned how to make the coveted finger steaks and Del Mar spinach dip. Cindy then started working at Grand Central Department Store where she met and subsequently married Kent Lee Selley on May 3, 1974 in Logan, Utah.
Cindy started working at the old Logan LDS Hospital in May 1974 in Respiratory Therapy and EEG, that became Logan Regional Hospital/IHC as the old hospital was demolished. Over the next 42 years she would foster friendships with countless people all over the hospital. She loved her job, but she loved her fellow coworkers and the subsequent friendships and fellowship that were made even more. Like the Facebook group says, “LRH Family for Life!” Her friends and coworkers loved her the most when she brought in her yearly coveted Christmas candy tins. In Jan 2016, she fully retired after scoliosis surgery. In Dec 2020 she moved to Sebring, Florida to be in the warmer climate and to be with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She became a grandmother in Jan of 2011 and for her that was the highlight of her life when Lily was born. In May of 2017, Jackson was added. She loved them both unconditionally and enjoyed being closer the last 4 years. She unfortunately suffered from Alzheimer’s Dementia the last few years of her life.
Cindy is survived by her son, Jeremy Selley, Sebring, FL, and his wife Victoria, granddaughter, Lily and grandson, Jackson, her brother Randy Johnson (Kathy), Las Vegas NV and her sister-in-laws Faye Selley, Fairview, ID and Kristi Johnson (Dan), Nibley, UT as well as countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many cousins as well as her Bunco Club Family, Doug and Linda Anderson and her amazing neighbors in Sunset Park; Carl and Peggy Nixon, Janet Maurer, Dave and Jane Harston and many more.
