Clair Parley Jones, 79, passed away at his home in Logan, Utah, on October 14, 2016. He was born July 21, 1937 in Logan Utah and spent most of his life in Logan. The fifth of eight children born to Evan Parley Jones and Veda P Hauser.
Clair graduated from Logan High School. He served in the Marine Corps. He married Janeene Heninger and they are the parents of four children.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in different callings as well as working in the Logan Temple for a few years. He spent most of his life working in the construction industry.
He was also involved for many years in the Fraternal Order of Eagles in many different capacities, locally and on the state level.
He is survived by his children, Richard (Pam) Jones, Teresa (Stephen) Proffit, Debbie Poulsen, Max (Laurie) Jones, 4 sisters Joan Kramer, Pauline Jenner, Ronda Morrison, and Mava Pitcher, and 2 brothers Rodney Jones and Melvin "Pete" Jones and 13 grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janeene and his parents, Evan and Veda Jones, a brother, Evan Max Jones, and a son-in-law, John Poulsen.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Johansen Park church house, 565 East 100 South in Logan. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 PM in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at
