LOGAN, UTAH: Clifford R. Meeds, 77, of Logan passed away suddenly of respiratory and heart problems at his home on Thursday, March 15, 2007.
Cliff was born on August 19, 1929 in Dillon, Montana to Henry and Gladys Richards Meeds. He was the oldest of seven children. He married Betty Brown in 1952. Betty passed away in 1955. On June 22, 1957 he married Hazel Straub. From this union three children were born.
Cliff served in the US Navy from 1948 - 1952.
Cliff worked for over 30 years for Cache Valley Dairy and Cream O’ Weber retiring in 1990. After retirement he enjoyed making clocks and wooden bowls on his lathe which neighbors, friends and family were the happy recipients of.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Hazel, three children, Ricky Louis (Marion) Meeds, Brigham City; Russell Richard Meeds, Fielding; Christine (Neil) Hoffman, Dunas, Texas, nine grandchildren, five great-grand children, three step-grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren and one brother, A. Wayne (Magda) Meeds, Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Monday, March 19th at 1:00 pm in the Smithfield City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Allen Mortuary of North Logan. Condolences may be sent to the family at
