SMITHFIELD, UTAH: Clytia P. Erickson, 75, died,,Friday May 6,2005 at her home in Smithfield of natural causes.
She was born Oct. 27, 1929 in Malad,. Idaho the third child of David Clair Palmer and Sevella Mansfield. She grew up in Preston, Idaho, where she attended elementary, and junior high school and graduated from Preston High School in
1947. She attended Henagers School of Business in Salt Lake. She worked at Utah State University in the Registrars Office for many years. She received a two year Business degree from Utah State.
She married LaVoir Dent in 1949, they were later divorced. She married Max R. Erickson in July 1987 in the Logan LDS Temple. For several weeks during the winter months they lived in California and Arizona and worked in the Mesa Arizona Temple. One of the great loves of her life was traveling with her husband Max. Following the death of her husband, she served in the Salt Lake Temple Square mission.
Clytia loved gardening, hand work, and her daily walk, but studying the gospel was a joy in her life. A meaningful accomplishment for her was graduating from the Institute of Religion at Utah State University.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Max, two infant daughters (LaDawn and Marsha), her parents and one brother (Claire). She is survived by two brothers, Douglas (Joan) Palmer of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bruce Palmer of Ogden, Utah, one sister Ramona (Lyman)Wiser of Ogden, Utah, her sons, Paul (Lynette) Dent of Lewis ton, Utah, Bryan (Peggy) Dent of Dallas, Texas, Curtis (Suzanne) Dent of Richmond, Utah, Vance (Fern) Dent of Coal vi lIe, Utah, Mark Dent of Phoenix, Arizona, Reed (Susan) Dent of Edmond, Oklahoma. She has 27 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, on
Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at the Smithfield
10th Ward Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30-10:30. Services conducted by Bishop Rick Toolson. Burial will be at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery 2330 E. 1300 South, Salt Lake City.
