Colleen Herzog Wildman

June 4, 1941 — February 3, 2010

Colleen Herzog Wildman peacefully passed away at her home on Feb. 2, 2010. She was 68 years old.

Colleen was born on June 4, 1941 to Leo & Elnora Herzog in Logan Utah. She was raised in Logan with her nine siblings. She attended and graduated from Logan City Schools. She married Lee Wildman on Feb. 17, 1961 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was excited to begin her role as a mother as she raised her daughter and two sons. Her labor of love continued throughout her life as she enjoyed her 11 grandchildren. She missed being a great-grandmother by only a few weeks. Her life was devoted to her children as she continually sacrificed for the family. She was a great example of womanhood and especially motherhood. She loved the times spent with her family whether on vacation, or at a family reunion, or camping on the beach. She loved the water.

Colleen was a faithful daughter of her Heavenly Father and served him in many callings including Relief Society Secretary, Librarian, and Primary Counselor. She enjoyed serving and loved being with those elect ladies. Her ward family was a very important part of her life.

Colleen and Lee volunteered many years throwing events for kids of all ages at the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She served as State Auxiliary President in 1996-1997 and numerous other positions in her 39 years with the Aerie. She made many lifelong friends in the Auxiliary. Colleen was employed at Hyclone Laboratories for 23 years.

The past few years of her life she spent hours volunteering with Alpine Hospice continuing her love to serve others.

Colleen was preceded in death by her husband Lee Wildman, her parents and four siblings; she is survived by her children, Connie Congdon (Brett), Mike Wildman (Stephanie), Dennis Wildman (Lynette), all of Logan; 11 grandchildren; her siblings Boyd Herzog (Cheryl) of Mendon, DeLoy Herzog (Anne) of Newton, Voyle Bassett (Lynn) of Logan, Nancy Martin of Logan, Dan Herzog (Valerie) of Logan, Pauline Herzog of Logan.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 8, at 1:00 p.m. at Allen Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday Evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at Allen Hall Mortuary and also Monday from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services.
