Cora Faye Anderson was born April 9th, 2002 in Salt Lake City, UT. On Oct. 7th, 2014 she returned to her Father in Heaven. After a lifelong struggle with cerebral palsy, she is now whole, free and at peace.
Cora’s impact on the lives of her family was an experience in love, sacrifice, higher purpose and humility. She brought out the best in us. Being with her was an escape from everyday concerns – a chance to connect with a deeper part of ourselves. Cora touched the souls of all those who knew her, none more so than her family. She is survived by her father Chris Anderson, mother Megan Anderson, brothers, Porter (6) & Rylan Anderson (3), grandparents Craig Anderson, David Little, Faye Anderson, Denece Little, and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her deeply.
Cora attended 7th grade at Spring Creek Middle School and enjoyed being around people when they were talking and laughing, while often adding to the fun with a laugh that made everyone smile. She especially liked it when attention was placed on her brothers for misbehaving. Her positive impact on them will be felt throughout their lives. The love and care they exhibited in her presence testifies to Cora’s angelic effect on her family. The only time she was unhappy was when her mother did her hair, and no one wanted to be around when that happened.
Cora was a great missionary in that she allowed us to see a glimpse of Heavenly Father’s Plan. If anyone wishes to contribute financially, please direct donations to the LDS General Missionary or Humanitarian Aid funds.
To all of the people who have touched Cora's life, and thereby, the lives of her parents, thank you. We love you all.
