Cordell Owen Jenson, 68 passed away Feb 18, 2006 at his home in Logan after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born at home in College Ward to I. Owen and Virgil Hansen Jenson and was raised in Logan. After graduating from South Cache High School in 1955 he joined the Reserves for eight years. He married his sweetheart Dona Archibald in 1957 and they spent the last 49 years by each others side. He was a farmer most of his life, but also worked for FurBreeders and the USU Research Foundation. He bought the family farm from his father and raised mink, dairy COWS, and his greatest love was race horses. He has several trophies from horse racing. He held various church positions and loved coaching kids in sports. Since 1979 he has sponsored a softball team and attended most all those games. He is survived by his wife Dona and their 5 children. Tony, Scott (Lesa), Terry, Donnell (Stuart) Speth, Bruce(Natalie), 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandkids, and his sisters Reva (Jed) Merrill and Crystal (Dallas) Leishman. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Vickie, his son Rex, his sisters Joyce and Wanda and Kim his niece.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Feb 23,2006 at 11 :00 AM in the Logan River Ward Chapel (993 West 1000 South, Logan). A viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan on.
Wednesday from 6-8 and Thursday from 9:30 - 10:45 AM prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family by going to
