On Friday, May 10, 2024, Craig Weber Ellis, loving husband, father of six, grandfather of 14, and friend to all, passed away peacefully, at the age of 67, in his home surrounded by his family. To the grief of his family, Craig lost his valiant fight with liver cancer. Craig was known for his hard work, dedication, mental and physical strength, love for his family, and his “give the shirt off his back” personality. Craig instilled a love for life and service in his family and those who knew him.
Craig was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman. There was no better time for him than spending time in the mountains with family and especially hunting and camping with his boys. He loved working in and going to rodeos. He involved his family in those functions as often as possible.
Craig was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he had a great love and firm testimony in the restoration of the gospel, he served in many callings such as high priest group leader and loved serving in the scouts with the young men and many more.
Craig was so much fun and had the best sense of humor. Those around him were always bound to have a good time. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Tami, children, Braquel (Ryan) Anderson, Travis (Alicia) Ellis, TyLynn (Trevor) Holman, Brayden Ellis, Krystal Simmons, Cort (Veronnica) Hunsaker, 14 grandchildren and 3 brothers. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Gene and Verna Ellis, and sister.
The family would like to send a special thank you to IMC Utah Cancer Center and the Liver Clinic in Murray Utah, IHC Hospice - Natalia, Hanna, Darren, and Dr. Porter and his primary care physician Dr. Kurt Olaveson and all those who treated him. The family appreciates their love, kindness, respect, and care.
