Cumorah Kennington Romney

Logan, Utah: Cumorah Kennington Romney, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Logan Regional Hospital.
She was born on September 17, 1928 in Preston, Idaho to Ira Lee and Emeline Humpherys Kennington. She graduated from Preston High School and attended BYU for one year. She married Reed George Romney on December 29, 1947 in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was employed at the USU Food Service and the US Forest Service. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived in the Hillcrest 2nd Ward. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She has resided in Preston, Franklin, Idaho, Colonia Juares, Chihuahua, Mexico and Logan, Utah.
She is survived by five sons and four daughters: Reed K. (Rosa) Romney of Buckeye, AZ; Annette R. (Richard G.) Christensen of Garland, UT; Reah R. (William F.) Duncan of Ocala, FL; Sharee R. (Laurence J.) Fisher of Crestview, FL; Julene Romney of Logan, UT; Gary Paul (Tonya Rose) Romney of Logan, UT; Kenneth Ray (Marcela) Romney of Logan, UT; Richard Lee (Lorie A.) Romney of Logan, UT; George Wayne (Tia J.) Romney of Wellsville, UT; and a sister, Genoa Wilhelmsen of Kaysville, UT. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reed George Romney; her parents, Ira Lee and Emeline Humpherys Kennington; a brothers, Emerson Kennington, Bernell H. Kennington, Mack Kennington and Paul Kennington; a grandson, Shawn Stuart Fisher and a great-granddaughter, Cedy Page Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 11, 2007 in the Hillcrest 2nd Ward Chapel, 875 North 1500 East in Logan. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St in Logan, and prior to services at the church on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in th Preston Cemetery in Preston, Idaho. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
