D Lynn Huskinson, 78, died peacefully Sunday, October 19, 2014.
Lynn was born on October 12, 1936 in Sugar City, Idaho to Dale and Elva Roberts Huskinson. The second of four children. He attended school in Sugar City, Hamilton, MT and graduated from Corvallis High School in 1955.
Lynn married Betty Jean Wetzsteon on October 12, 1955 and they lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Lynn was on active duty in the military, U.S. Air Force and served in Cheyenne, Wyoming, French Morraco, Toole Greenland, Great Falls Montana and Beal Air Force Base Yuba City, California.
He and Betty then moved with their family to Hamilton, Montana and worked as barber in his own shop for 20 years, then he worked for the LDS Church for 10 years.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many capacities, as a Stake Missionary, as Scout Master, and as the Bishop of a Hamilton Ward.
Lynn and Betty served in the North Carolina, Charlotte Mission in 2002. Then moved to Logan, Utah in 2005.
Lynn loved Scouting, fishing, hunting, camping, square dancing, playing the harmonica and the accordion. He loved singing with the choir and loved spending time with friends family and the grandkids.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Betty, two daughters, Julie (Tim) Hardin, Logan, UT; Debbie (Tracy) Findlay, Enumclaw, WA; three sons, Jerry (Rhonda), Clearfield, UT; John (Crista), Hamilton, MT; and Scott (Jenae), Hyde Park, UT; 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. One brother, Hal (Alice), Missoula, MT; and two sisters, Deanna (Steven) Allridge, South Jordan, UT; Shirley Bird, Mesa, AZ.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Hyde Park 6th Ward Chapel, 535 East 200 South, where there will be a viewing from 10-11:30 a.m prior to services. Interment will be in the Hyde Park Cemetery.
