Dale Devon Dawson

July 19, 1939 — March 3, 2006

YOUNG WARD, UTAH – On March 3rd 2006, Dale passed away at his home in Young Ward with his wife Norma at his side. Dale fought a long and hard battle with C.O.P.D, asthma and emphysema, never one to complain gave it his all.
Born July 19th 1939 the eldest and first born son, of W. DeVon Dawson and Violet Koller Dawson in Weston Idaho. At the age of 3 his family moved to Logan, Utah. Dale attended the Logan School system graduating from Logan High School in class of 1957 also attending Utah State.
On October 31st 1961 he married Daunee Vella. They were later divorced. April 18th 1969 he married Jeri Lynn Watson, in Logan Utah they also divorced. Finding the love of his life in Twin Falls Idaho, he married Norma Hacking Endersbe on December 24th 1984 in Elko, Nevada. December 28th 1984 they moved back to Cache Valley and settled in Young Ward, Utah.
During his youth Dale gained his work ethics from his dad, helping his parents and grandparent doing odd job during the summers. He worked for Morton Thiokol a combination of 26 years, as an NDT x-ray tech. Partnership in Hutchinson Construction of Twin Falls Idaho and later at Raymond Construction in Logan Utah. In his spare time he enjoyed fly tying, hunting and fishing all over Idaho and Utah with his many hunting buddies and his dog. Dale was a very successful game fowl breeder and enjoyed being with his friends who had the same interests.
Dale is survived by his wife of 21+ years Norma of Young Ward Utah, his daughter Tara Lynn and granddaughter L Giselle Dawson-Marques, Glendale Arizona. His mother Violet K. Dawson, Logan Utah. Sisters Karol (Cleve) Smith, Sublett Idaho, Kathlene (William) Parker, Mexico; Ann (William) Nangle, Salt Lake City Utah, and his brother Val W (Debra) Dawson, Centerville, Utah. 18 nieces and nephews and their spouses. His 90 year old Uncle Myrle Dawson, Logan Utah. As well as many aunts and uncles.
Preceded in death by his father W. DeVon Dawson, his grandparents A.J and MaryJane Bell Dawson; and A.S and Selma Nielson Koller. Also his four legged hunting buddies "Bo, Dutch and Mugg."
The family thanks Peggy Wolfley RN and Royella Smith, of Legacy Healthcare Hospice for their loving and tender care given Dale, also Dr. Hyldahl.
Services will be Wednesday Evening March 8th with a viewing from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm with services beginning at 6pm ,at Allen -Hall Mortuary 34 East Center St. Logan Utah. Interment will be 11 am on Thursday March 9th at the Weston Cemetery in Weston, Idaho. Friends wishing to travel to Weston are welcome, a light lunch will be served on the return from Weston, at the Young Ward Chapel, 2394 West 2200 South Young Ward Utah. Condolences may be extended to the family by going to www.allenmortuaries.net . In lieu of flowers if you wish to make a donation to your favorite charity in Dale's name or to the Logan Police K-9 division.
