GARDEN CITY, UTAH - Daniel R. Martinez of Garden City, Utah, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 of complications from a stroke. He was 67.
Daniel was born December 5, 1943, in Chicago, Ill. to Manual Martinez and Juanita Rodriguez. He has 6 brothers and sisters: Anthony, Robert (deceased), Silvestre, Carolina and Virgina. Daniel has 3 children: Anthony, Connie, and Christine. He also has a God-Daughter, Rhonda Nardi. who held a special place in his heart.
For 30 years, he was a pattern maker for various manufactures, namely, Wrigleys and Sears. He also was a great supporter and donated much to the VFW.
In retirement, he decided to move to Utah to be close to his son and grandchildren in Logan, He was amazed when he reached the summit and looked down on Bear Lake. He chose to retire and make his home in Garden City on the Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.
He is survived by his 3 children, and 4 grandchildren who he adored, Melissa, Rachel, Jessica and Anthony Ray.
Anthony and his family would like to give many thanks to the caring professionals at Sunshine Terrace and Logan Regional Hospice.
