Logan Utah: Darla O. Smith 47, died Monday, August 6, 2007 at her home, after a long courageous fight with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
Darla was born September 29, 1959 in Logan, Utah, the only daughter of La Ray Miller and Daniel Olsen. She attended school in Cache County. She graduated from Sky View High School. She was employed by Utah State University.
Darla married William Lee Smith November 9, 1990. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS temple. They made their home in Logan. Darla was an excellent mother to their 3 children. She loved camping, softball, and her family.
She is survived by her husband Bill, their children Mikalie (15) Brendan (12) and Cody(7) and her step-children Nathan (Angie), Erika (Mike), Rachel (Eric) and Anji (Shane). Her mother LaRay Olsen, and her brothers: Paul (Linda), Stan (Jeannine), Mel (Alice), Ted (Trixie) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father Daniel J. Olsen, her brother Lorin Joseph Olsen and a nephew Lorin Olsen.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 10, 2007 in the Logan 2nd Ward Chapel, 100 South 200 West in Logan. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, and prior to services on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the church. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
