David Hinton

October 1, 1989 — August 7, 2013

David Austin Hinton, 23, returned to his Heavenly Father on August 7, 2013 after a tragic boating accident on Lake Powell. David was born on October 16, 1989 to Harvard Scott and Sharon Hinton, the 6th of eight children. He was born in Naperville, IL and lived in Batavia, IL; Kirkland, Quebec, Canada; Longmont, CO; Lawrence, KS; and for the last eleven years in North Logan, UT.

He graduated from Sky View High School in 2008. During high school he enjoyed basketball and his many friends. David served an LDS mission to the New Mexico Albuquerque Spanish speaking mission (2008-2010) and was a student at USU studying engineering.

David married Alexandra Jarvis on March 2, 2013 and they enjoyed five months together. Lexi is the love of his life and he adored her loving family.

David was someone who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He will be remembered for his fun-loving sense of humor. His life centered around his wife, his family, his wonderful friends, and most importantly, his Savior. David loved his nieces and nephews and his new puppies.

We are grateful that all of the family was able to be with him over the past week.

He is survived by his wife, Lexi of North Logan, his parents Scott and Sharon of North Logan, his siblings Julie of Los Angeles, CA, Melissa of Maricopa, AZ, Bryan (Serena) of Lehi, UT, Amber (Chad) Westover of Lehi, UT, Lance (Bobbi Jo) of Kaysville, UT, Garrett, and Kaitlyn, his nieces and nephews Alaya, Rylee, Gavin, Will, Adelle, and Blake, and by his grandparents Harvard and Rose Hinton of Lehi. He is also survived by Lexi’s parents Mark and Lisa Jarvis, her siblings Max and Isabelle, and by her grandparents Arlin and Marsha Swain, and Dean and Maxine Jarvis. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Walter and Virgie Snow.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 11, from 6-8:00pm at the Allen Hall Mortuary on 34 East Center Street. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral on Monday, August 12, from 9:30-10:30am at the LDS church at 1550 E 1900 N, North Logan with the funeral following at 11:00. Interment will follow at the North Logan Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Allen Hall Mortuary.
