David J. Anderson
Logan- David J. Anderson, 89 passed away on February 7. 2011 after a short illness.
Born August 28, 1921 in Raymond, Alberta Canada to Junius Lamont Anderson and G. Johanna Pfeifer.
Married for time and eternity to Ruth Stephensen on August 25, 1948 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
He served in the Royal Canadian Army during World War II from 1940 to 1945 where he was wounded in action in Italy. After a lengthy recovery he attended the University of Winnipeg where he earned a degree in Architecture. In 1964 he earned a Masters Degree in Forestry from the University of Washington. He worked on a multitude of building projects in Salt Lake City, Logan, Snowbird, USU and BYU. For 2 years he taught math at Bingham High School. Even though he lived and worked most of his life in the United States, he remained a lifelong loyal Canadian citizen and went back to visit as often as he could. Spending time at the cabin he built himself in British Columbia was one of his favorite things to do. David and Ruth lived for many years in Sandy Utah where he built his first house. When he retired they moved to Richmond and he built another house. He loved building things. He served a mission doing German genealogy work for the LDS church for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Ruth, daughter Christine Anderson; two grandsons that he was immensely proud of, Samuel D. Dufner (Suzanne) Monmouth, OR; Brooks R. Dufner (Shanna) Clarkston, UT; 4 beautiful great granddaughters that he adored, Hailey, Brittney, Katie and Madison(aka cowboy); sister Gertrude (Jim) Monson, Boise, ID; brother Peter (Doreen) Anderson, Phoenix, AZ. and many neices and nephews.
Preceded in death by a grandson, David ; brothers Eric and Hans and sisters Edna and Helga.

Viewing will be held Friday February 11th from 6-8 pm and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center in Logan. Graveside services will follow the Saturday morning viewing at Richmond Cemetery, 350 N 200 E. Richmond Utah.
The family would like to thank the staff of Terrace Grove, Alpine Home Health Care, Richmond EMTs and all of his wonderful friends in Richmond who have supported and helped us with his care.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to the Recreation Therapy program at Terrace Grove. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
