Paradise, Utah: Devet (Dee) C. Obray, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah at the age of 93.
She was born on April 12, 1913 in Avon, Utah to David Hunter and Chloe Leila Burrell Cook.
She married Harven H. Obray on September 17, 1930. He passed away on March 28, 1993.
Mother had many talents. She was a beautiful seamstress, making quilts, crocheting, and all kinds of crafts. She was always for others.
She was employed by Sears for 32 years. She also worked many other part-time jobs.
Mother was admired and loved for her strength and independence.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Paradise 3rd Ward.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Marva (Denton) Sealy of Clearfield, Utah, Afton (Harlan) Turley of Bountiful, Utah, and Courtney (Nancy) Obray of Logan, Utah. Nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Cora Jones of Clearfield, Utah, Ethel Winslow of Brigham City, Utah, Janet Summers of Ogden, Utah and LaVon Kimbrell of California. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Paradise Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, and prior to services on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
