Dee Wayne Skabelund

July 25, 1950 — February 16, 2011

Our beloved, Dee Wayne Skabelund, 60, of Logan Utah passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2011, after a hard fought battle against cancer.
Dee was born July 25th, 1950, in Logan, Utah to Wayne and Lois Schiffman Skabelund. He attended Logan city schools and graduated from Logan High School in 1968. He learned to work at a young age, beside his father, roofing for the family business. Dee loved to golf and always looked forward to hunting season. He loved taking trips to Montana and Phoenix where he spent times with many good friends. He played many years in the City Softball and Bowling Leagues. Dee was an extremely caring person and was always sharing candy and chocolates with the ladies at Zion’s Bank, grocery stores, airline attendants, race track attendees, and many more.
Dee is survived by his mother, Lois, four brothers, Brent (Janae), James, Martin (Shelley), Vern (Linda), half sister Kyrelyn Eldridge, and many nephews and nieces that he adored. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Skabelund, a brother John, and two sisters, Connie and Kathy.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and IHC Hospice, Anna, Kim, and staff. He was just a good guy who will be deeply be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary on 34 E. Center in Logan. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 22nd, and prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
