Delmont Niederhauser

Logan, Utah: DelMont Niederhauser , 78, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2013. Del was born June 28, 1934 in River Heights, Utah to Hyrum Niederhauser and Thelma Clifford Niederhauser.
Del graduated from South Cache High School and attended Utah State University before serving a mission to the Western States Mission. After completing his mission, he returned home and married his High School sweetheart Joan Jorgensen on Sept. 28, 1956. Del then served 2 years in the military. After the Military, Del returned to Logan, Utah and worked in the family business, Niederhauser Lumber and Construction business for over 50 years.
Del’s greatest passion was the USU Aggie Athletics. He loved the players and everyone associated with USU Athletics. His greatest joy was traveling with the teams.
At church Del served in the bishopric and high council but his favorite callings were Youth Sunday School teacher and YM basketball coach. Del loved working with teens and had a special connection with the youth.
Del is survived by daughter, Nan (Gary) Stoddard Minneapolis MN and son Kelly Niederhauser Logan, UT; step-sons John (Paige) Edmondson Folsum CA, and Steven (Allison) Edmondson Bethlehem PA; 11 Grandchildren 3 sisters, Bonnie (Ross) Whatcott of Bountiful, Janiel (Dean) Prisbey of North Ogden, Saundra (Robert) Merritt of Afton WY, and 2 brothers, Gary (Geraldine) Niederhauser of Logan and Terry (Erma) Niederhauser of Powell, WY.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Cliffside 1st Ward Chapel, 1380 East 25 North in Logan. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, and prior to the services on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the USU Athletic Department in Del’s name.
