Delon Murray Braunagel passed away of natural causes incident to age on October 9th, 2007 at Legacy House in Logan. She was 96 yrs. old. She was born May 30th, 1911 in Wellsville, Utah, the youngest child of William Parker Murray and Marie Christiansen Murray. She married Jack David Braunagel on August 4th, 1932. They had no children. She had a sister Leona and brother, Earl, both deceased.
Delon loved life and traveled extensively. Her travels took her around the world to many exotic locations. She loved people and cultures and especially enjoyed her travels to China. She had a great
love for dogs and has left part of her estate to a Seeing Eye dog foundation. She grew up in Wellsville and then moved to Ogden. After her marriage she moved again to Logan where they ran the Utah and Capitol Theatres. Eventually they opened theatres all over the Midwest and eventually settled in Kansas City, Mo. In her later years she lived in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where she enjoyed the company of many great friends. She loved to golf and play cards, especially bridge. She was a delightful friend to all her knew her. Recently she was especially close to Burton and Vivian Harris (a cousin) of North Logan, and Clyde and Carol (recently deceased) Richards of Logan.
Close relatives include: Clyde Richards (Logan). Burton and Vivian Harris (North Logan), Murray and Rosemarie Nichols (Preston, ID), Carroll and Shirley Nichols (St. George), Eugene & Tammy Nichols (Redding, CA), David and Thelma Jensen (Arlington, VA), and Nona Jean Schwarting (Provo).
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Legacy House and especially Flo Holstein who was her Sr. Companion and friend for many years.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at 2:00pm at the Hyrum City Cemetery.
