Deloy G. Hendricks, 83 of Providence, Utah returned to his heavenly home on February 15, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Deloy G. Hendricks was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Gerald Kenneth Hendricks and Jennie Rachel Bloxham. He loved his rural upbringing and always considered himself an Idaho farm boy. He gained a strong work ethic and a love for learning. His cheery temperament and sheer determination opened up incredible opportunities in his life.
He married his best friend, Cora Jean Wood, and they had 7 children. He loved God, his family and his country and spent his life serving them all. His work as a professor at USU allowed Deloy's natural gift of gab to flourish as he helped his students reach their potential. He discovered that his toughest students were his children! His patience was tested, but his love and diligence set an example for all to follow. The gospel of Jesus Christ and his family meant everything to him. He will be missed, but he is leaving a legacy of love that transcends time.
Deloy is survived by his children, their spouses and posterity:
Judy (Tracy) Thompson, JaLee (Brent) Greer, Jolene (Mike) Mapes, Janet (Doug) Thornton, Jerrae (Tyler) Gessel, Joy Hendricks, Clint (Abby) Hendricks and 22 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Hendricks and many nieces and nephews.
