Delsa was born December 18, 1911 in Afton, Wyoming to Arlin R. and Irene Call Allred.
She died December 14th 2009 in Lehi, UT, 4 days before her 98th birthday.

Delsa married Irwin S. Thomson of Richmond, UT Sept 20, 1933 in the Logan Temple. Irwin passed away Jan 10, 1982. Delsa has been without her loved one for 27 years. Surviving are sons Delwin (Bonnie) Thomson of Highland UT, LaMon (Barbara) Thomson of Shoreview, MN, Brent (Connie) Thomson of Sandy UT and Sherman (Ricky) Thomson of North Logan, UT, 26 Grandchildren, 88 Great Grandchildren, and 12 Great Great Grandchildren. One brother Juan (Gladys) Allred of Kaysville UT.

Delsa was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin, a daughter, Arlene; a son, Arlo. Brother, Richard Allred, sisters, Phyllis Spence, Josephine Peterson and Lila Dunn.

She lived in Star Valley,WY, Smithfield, Logan, Millville, American Fork and Lehi, UT.

Delsa was very devoted to genealogy and temple work. She served as a genealogical missionary. After Irwins death, she also served a full time mission in the Missouri Independence Mission. Her testimony and love of Christ was evident throughout her life.

Delsa lived a life of service. She was a Temple worker in the Logan and Timpanogos Temple for several years. She was actively involved in the LDS Church and Community service, volunteering at Sunshine Terrace Nursing home and as an aid in Logan schools helping young people learn to read. Delsa and Irwin were members of the Mormon Battalion, and Sons of Utah Pioneers. She received the Community Service award in 1992 from Governor Bangerter for her service to others.

She loved to camp with her family, and one of her favorite activities was playing games with grandchildren and friends.

She worked as a beautician for many years. She excelled at growing flowers and vegetables and helped Irwin in his huge garden. Some of her favorite hobbies were making pictures with shells, making sand bottles, and flower arranging. She loved to travel and has traveled extensively throughout the world.

Special thanks to the staff of Greenwood Manor in Lehi for the kind care they gave to Delsa. Also to A1 Hospice for their care in her last months.

Funeral Services will be held at the Allen Mortuary 420 East 18th North Logan, UT at 12:00 PM Saturday December, 19th. A viewing will be held from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM of the same day. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net .
