Dennis Charles Beere

December 3, 1930 — November 8, 2015

Dennis Charles Beere passed away on Nov. 8, 2015 at the age of 84 due to natural causes.  Dennis was born Dec. 03, 1930 in Hertford, England.  He joined the merchant marines and went to sea at the age of 17.  He left the sea life in 1952 and ended up in Southern California.  He married his first wife Tabitha in 1962.  After her death, he married Elizabeth Margaret Yeck on Aug. 17, 1974. He was a loving father and stepfather to three children.  He spent most of his adult life working as a truck driver in Southern California.  He worked hard and was proud of his work.  He later retired to Providence, Utah in 2002.  He was an active member of the LDS church.  He was proud of his British heritage, and loved to tell tales of his childhood in wartime England, or his adventures at sea.  He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Stella and Charles Beere, his brother Thomas, and his first wife Tibby.  He is surely dancing in heaven, overjoyed by the happy reunions, and freed from the limitations of his mortal body that so frustrated him.  He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his children, Robert (Connie Williams) Johnson, Kathleen Johnson, and Dennis (Carrie Wadley) Beere II, 12 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 at 12:00 noon with a viewing from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan, UT.
