Dennis Therwin Garr

March 11, 1930 — June 5, 2018

Dennis Therwin Garr, 88, passed away June 5, 2018 at the Logan Regional Hospital. Dennis was born March 11, 1930 in Millville, Utah to John Delore and Leone Garr. He married his sweetheart Connie Balls on February 20, 1948. On October 11, 1956 they were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie, and their seven children, LaVonna Lofthouse, Richard Garr, Merlynn Madsen, DeNiece (Scott) Grover, Shawna (Romeo) Rodriguez, Dennis (Sherry) Garr, and Alice (David) Wells. Dennis was blessed with 31 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Dennis was a hard worker. He worked various jobs but his main employment was at the Ogden Defense Depot. Every summer Dennis grew a huge garden and shared the delicious produce with family and friends.
He was very proud of his Native American (Shoshone) ancestry. He enjoyed collecting Indian arts and crafts. He was an active member of the LDS church and had a great appreciation for his dedicated home teachers. Words cannot express the love and gratitude our family feels for our beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed!
