Dennis Leishman

June 15, 1939 — December 27, 2019

Our beloved "Pop", John Dennis Leishman, 80, of Logan, Utah, was born on June 15, 1939 in Wellsville, Utah. He left this mortal existence on December 27, 2019 holding the hand of his loving wife of 57 years, Janice, after a long illness. His children, Kristi, Mark and Eric along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family all shared hugs, kisses & gratitude for their father, teacher, & mentor.
His stellar example of love, kindness, compassion and service to other's has left an eternal imprint on the heart's of all who know him. Denny's smile and his willingness to help any soul alway's outweighed the need for himself. His motto in life is "What can I do for you?"
You always knew that "Poppie" was near when you heard singing, humming or the strums of a guitar. Watching sports, hunting, fishing, & camping put a smile on his face. His love for horses and dogs was evident with the many furry friends that he enjoyed. Spending time with family and friends were the forefront in his life next to his love for his spiritual beliefs.
The family would like to thank the Intermountain & So. Davis Hospice team and the staff at So. Davis Community Hospital as well as all who have participated in his care and the care of the family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the Chapel located at 1585 North 400 West in Logan.
