He is the son of Lowell and Connie Mauchley. He has two sisters Jeannine and Nancy who he loved dearly. Dennis graduated from Logan High School in 1965 and was also a Seminary graduate. While in high school he was the manager of the Logan High baseball, basketball and football teams.

Dennis was loved by so many people and will be missed by many others. He was such a hard working man and never complained about anything. The students at USU loved him so much they did a fundraiser for him to go to California to see one of his favorite teams the Dodgers.
