On Saturday November 21st our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Dennis Ray Theurer, returned to the arms of his loving Heavenly Father.
He was born August 13, 1939, in Logan, UT, to T. Ray & Edith Theurer. He was the oldest of five children.
He was a lifelong resident of Providence.
He received his schooling at Providence Elementary & South Cache High School.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in several callings.
He was a loyal and dedicated employee of Mountain Fuel Supply (Questar) for more than 32 years.
He married Deanna Ashment October 21, 1965. They were the parents of seven children. They were later divorced.
Dennis was a very gentle soul who never judged another. He loved his kids and grandkids and had a personal and deep relationship with each of them. He loved the time he spent at McDonald’s every morning with his friends who became family. He loved anything outdoors and especially enjoyed many wonderful trips, fishing in Alaska and four wheeling with his family.
Dad grew up helping on the family farm raising beef cattle where he developed his impressive work ethic. He was also a member of the Providence Lion's Club for several years.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Craig Dennis Theurer, his parents, Thomas Ray (T. Ray) Theurer and Edith Hyer Theurer.
He is survived by three sons, Kirk Ray Theurer, Todd (Valarie) Theurer, Brad (Heather) Theurer. Three daughters, Lisa (Richard) Worley, Kristie (Curtis) Curtis, Angie (JJ) Wheeler, and one brother, Burke (Lou) Theurer, and three sisters, Nanette (Doug) Brenchley, Susan (Brent) Rasmussen, Jett (George) Thompson, and 22 beloved grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, in Providence 4th Ward Chapel, 155 North 100 East, Providence. A viewing will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, and prior to the services on Tuesday at the church from 10:30 to11:30 AM.
