Dennis Edward Barrett

NIBLEY, UTAH: Dennis Edward Barrett, 71, has returned home to his Father in Heaven on Sunday, September 9, 2007.
He was born on November 22, 1935 in Sioux City, Iowa a son of Patrick Daniel Barrett Jr. and Alice Libonati.
He served in the US Marine Corps from 1954 - 1956. He then served in the Reserves until 1962. He married Arlene Maude on October 6, 1956. Together they built a wonderful family. Arlene and Dennis were later divorced, yet they remained close friends. Arlene stood by Denny to support and encourage him and to just be there to hold his hand and to stand by him to the end. Denny loved his children and always told each on there were his favorite.
Denny is survived by his ex-wife, Arlene Barrett, his daughters, Debbie and Kevin Gittens; Kathy and Lynn Griffiths and his sons, Dennis and Ellen Barrett; Edward and Ellen Barrett; William and Lynda Barrett; Robert and Stacey Barrett; Steven and Lisa Barrett; John Barrett and Ron and Susan Barrett, 40 grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Denny was the oldest of five children and is survived by Terrance and Sandy Barrett, Thomas and Judy Barrett and his sister, Mary Alice Shope. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael .
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the Logan City Cemetery with a military tribute by the American Legion. A viewing will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 am prior to services at the Allen-Hall Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
