Dennis Simpson Kidman

March 14, 1940 — January 30, 2010

MENDON, UTAH: Dennis Simpson Kidman, our loving husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend, passed away peacefully at his home at age 69, on January 30, 2010.
He was born March 14, 1940 at his home in Mendon, Utah to Isabelle S. Kidman and Chester W. Kidman.
He worked on the family farm; he went to California and worked with his brother on a salvage barge. He also worked for LeGrande Johnson, West Hills Alfalfa Mill, EA Millers, Saddleman but always stayed true to his first love, farming. Dennis worked hard and played hard.
On November 10, 1961, he married his eternal sweetheart, Julie Ann Aslett in the Logan LOS Temple. To this union were born Cindy Walker (ladd), of Brigham City; Kimberly Davis (Bryan), of Corinne; Greg Kidman (Jody), of Mendon; Douglas Kidman of Kauai, Hawaii; Shaun Kidman of Logan.
Dennis found happiness in the simple things of life. Family, friends, farming, fishing, hunting and softball. He loved the land. He was a third generation farmer. He not only cared for his own farm, but always had time to help other farmers, whether it was unexpected or asked for.
His smile and positive attitude were contagious. After talking with Dennis, your load was always made lighter and your problems not so unsolvable. He has 17 lucky grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings, Jerry Maurer, Georgia Edlund, Larry Kidman. He was preceded in death by his parents Isabelle and Chester Kidman, Alvin Kidman (brother), and Kaye Welch (sister).
The funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, at 12:00 noon at the Mendon 4th ward chapel (100 West Center Street, Mendon). A viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary on Friday, February 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Mendon 4th Ward prior to funeral from 10:30 to 11:30. Interment will be in Mendon City Cemetery following services. We would like to thank Dr. Nash, Dr. Garg and all the wonderful nurses at the Logan Regional Hospital. He will be missed.
