Derk Jay Kimball

April 23, 1985 — December 15, 2005

Derk was born April 23, 1985, the son of Darrell and Dayna Denney Kimball. Derk attended school in Logan, Provo, and Elk Grove, California.

Derk was a passionate and fearless snowboarder and enjoyed hunting with his Dad, camping out with his friends, and fishing with his Dad and little brother Jake.

Derk is survived by his parents, Darrell of Logan, and Dayna of Orem, his little brother Jake, grandparents David and Judy Denney of St. George, Brent Gines and Diane Kimball of Herriman, Aunt April (Randy) Gilmour, Hyde Park, Aunt Jaime (Robert) Davis, Eagle Mountain, Aunt Deena (Shawn) Wolfley, Smithfield, Uncle Darren (Nichola) Denney, Elk Grove, CA. He is also survived by his cousins Hayden Hone, Kyle Odin, Cody Davis, Trevor and Miranda Gilmour, and by his “other brother” Mark Dickison of Sacramento, CA. Derk was preceded in death by his special grandpa Delmar Kimball, whom he was extremely close to. He and Grandpa Kimball will fish the rivers and streams of Heaven until we see them again.
