Diane Atkinson Vance

September 15, 1938 — June 1, 2016

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Diane Atkinson Vance passed away on June 1,
2016 at age 77 after a brief illness.
She was born September 15, 1938 in Logan, UT to Solon and Lottie Atkinson, but was raised in
Provo for the next several years. Diane graduated from Logan High School and was later
married to Allan Vance on September 12, 1957 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. She was a
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She and her friends opened gift stores (etc ... and Calico Gifts) in Hyrum and Logan. She enjoyed
many years of teaching twirling and marching in her home. Later she was an Executive
Secretary at Utah State University where she retired after 20 years of service. Scrapbooking,
decorating her home, and family get-togethers at Bear Lake were some of her favorites.
She is survived by her husband Allan, younger sister Kathy Crossno (Winchester, CA) three
children, Brian (Mindy) Vance, Tami (Mark) Myers, Cindy (Robert) Perry, 13 grandchildren and
10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan, UT. Friends may visit with family prior to the funeral services from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
