On the morning of April 26, 2014, Diane completed her earthly mission and was finally called home to her Heavenly Father.
Although she was faced with many health problems, she always had a smile on her face. For 40 years she endured trial upon trial but never let it get her down. She would never complain and tell you everything was "Just WONDERFUL!"
Born April 29, 1944 to Ardith Miles and Burrel W. Brown in Vernal, UT. Raised in Salt Lake City where she met and married her high school sweetheart Charles W. (Bill) Jones on June 8, 1961.
After living in Sandy, UT for 24 years, Bill and Diane moved their family to Cache Valley. Diane was happiest when she was serving others. Over the years she volunteered at numerous places; Logan Regional Hospital, Sunshine Terrace, North Cache, Sunrise and Lewiston Elementary. She enjoyed going to her grandson's schools twice a week to help out. She would read with the students, have school lunch and turn the jump rope at recess. She served on the PTA and loved being involved in the community.
Her greatest joy was found in the service of the Lord. She attended the temple three times a week and worked in the laundry for many years. She served many positions in the LDS church; Relief Society, Young Women and Primary, which she loved.
Diane was the kindest woman you would ever know. She always saw the best in everyone. She had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. She was an amazing example to everyone around her. There will never be a kinder Grandma,
Mother, sister, aunt, friend or wife than Diane. Her family meant everything to her and she never wasted a moment telling those around her how much she loved them.
Her husband, Bill was the love of her life. They have been married for 53 years. He has always been right by her side to give her love and support. Wherever you saw dad, mom was always by his side beaming with pride. She loved and adored him more than anything in this world.
She is survived by her husband Bill. Son; Cory (Jenifer) Jones, Heber City. Daughters; April (Brent) Sorenson, Smithfield. Erica (Eric) Lundahl, Smithfield. Katy (John) Ashworth, Chicago, IL. Grandchildren; Collin, Dalton (Ashley), Caden, Hunter, Kellan, Conner, Carson, Nash, Ryder, Skye, Olivia, Dillon and Hudson. Siblings, Gordon (Ruth) Brown, West Jordan. Anna (Kent) Lamb, Meridian, ID.
