Donald Norman Sadler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on April 16, 1945, in Logan, Utah, to Norman Ernest Sadler and Margaret Luke Sadler.
Donald was a man of many talents, with a lifelong career as a general contractor, where he was self-employed and built a reputation for his honesty, hard work, and dedication. His success in business was only surpassed by his devotion to his family. He was a proud husband to Jacklyn Wallace Sadler, and together they shared a loving marriage that spanned many years, creating a legacy of love, service, and faith.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Donald found great strength and inspiration in the gospel of Jesus Christ. His favorite scripture was John 15:13, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends," and he lived his life by this principle, always putting others first. His service to the church included a mission, as well as time spent as a Young Men’s leader, where he inspired countless young people to live with integrity and kindness.
Donald’s fondest memories were those spent with his family, especially during family reunions, which he cherished deeply. He enjoyed the great outdoors, with a particular love for four-wheeling and Dutch oven cooking, where he was known to whip up some of the best meals anyone had ever tasted. His love of nature and the simple joys of life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Donald’s greatest accomplishment was his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and his legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren, who carry forward the lessons of love, faith, and perseverance he instilled in them.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Jacklyn, his children, grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held at Richmond Stake Center on November 15, 2024, at 11:30am with a viewing from 10:00-11:00am prior to the funeral service. An additional viewing will be held Thursday evening at Allen-Hall Mortuary 34 E. Center St. Logan from 6-8pm. He will be laid to rest at the Richmond City Cemetery.
May we all take a moment to reflect on the example Donald set for us—one of love, faith, and service to others. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
