Donald Arthur Duncan, 75, died on Friday, August 21, 2009 at the Logan Regional Hospital.
He was born on December 31, 1933 in San Francisco, California to Robert O. and Jessie L. Duncan.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and was involved in WWII, the Korean Conflict and was in Viet Nam for a year, retiring in 1971.
He owned and operated the Pet Shoppe in Logan for 10 years. He loved meeting and helping people who shared his love for animals. He later sold the Pet Shoppe and enjoyed retirement.
He is survived by his mother, Jaye, North Logan; two sons, Robert Arthur (Brandy), Medford, Oregon and Richard Allen (Deana), Tacoma, Washington; one grandson; brother, Robert Vernon, New York and sister, Sandra, Salt Lake City. He is also survived by a cherished friend and care giver of 25 years, Lyn Obray and her children, Pauline (Tom) Davidson, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Paulette (Mark) Nyman, North Ogden, Utah; Colby Lee Obray, Logan; Janean Obray, Taylorsville, Utah; Neal (Becky) Obray, Steamboat Springs, Colorado and seven grandchildren who called him grandpa.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the North Logan Memorial Park and Cemetery, 1950 East 2500 North, North Logan.
Friends may call at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North, on Monday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside.
