Donald G. Bickmore was born on October 8, 1926 to William O. and Otilla Bickmore in Logan, Utah and was married to Margaret Lynn Wilhite on September 12, 1948. Don was a veteran of 2 wars – World War II and the Korean War. He graduated from his beloved Utah State University in 1950 in Geology. Don worked as a geophysicist in Oklahoma and Texas, and later as an executive in Calgary, Canada, Houston and finally in Los Angeles, retiring in 1985. Don kept active after retirement with oil exploration and development in Kansas, and golf everywhere. He was an avid Utah State supporter. Don travelled extensively with his wife and enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, his four children, 6 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
A Funeral service celebrating his life will be at 1:00 PM Friday, March 12 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center Street in Logan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11 from 6-8 PM at the mortuary. His burial will be at the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at
