Clearfield – Sergeant First Class Donald Paul Hansen (RET) passed away peacefully in his home Friday morning, June 9, 2006.
Born December 13, 1950 to Bruce and Norma Hansen of Providence, Utah. Wed to Lynn on May 5, 1973 and sealed in the Bountiful Temple February 14, 2004 for time and all eternity.
Paul was raised in a loving and caring home in Providence and graduated from Sky View High School in 1969. To protect and serve the family, valley and country that he loved Paul enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps serving two tours of duty in Vietnam and later an additional 18 years with the U.S. Army, retiring in 1992.
Upon his return to his beloved Utah Paul worked at Certified Careers Institute as an Instructor and then for Lockheed Martin at Dougway Proving Grounds as a Test Engineer. During this time he served faithfully as an active member of the Clearfield 23rd Ward and dutifully fulfilled all of his callings.
Loved by his family he is survived by his wife Lynn and children Robert (Jessica), Christopher (Carolyn), John (Abra) and Brian. Brothers and sisters Karen (Parky), Elaine (Dee), Jim (Ginger), Roger (Susanne) and brother-in-law Bob Reuillard. His grandchildren Heather, Mackenzie and Bryan will also greatly miss him.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Bruce and Norma Hansen, his sister Deanna and children Lisa, Arthur and Heather.
The Viewing will be held at the Clearfield North Stake Center at 151 North 1000 West on Tuesday June 13, 2006 from 6PM - 8PM and Wednesday June 14, 2006 from 9:30AM till 10:30AM. Funeral proceedings will be at 11AM with the burial at Providence Cemetery with full military honors at 2PM. Condolences may be extended to the family by going to
